Activation Procedures:
"Stand by" = if conditions do not meet activation criteria, but there is an anticipation of increased problems:
- Check your "Jump Kit",
- Know where your VERT Shirt and ID Card is located.
"Activation" = emergency situation or condition that the city deems a threat to life, property or public safety:
- Ensure that you, your family and house are safe;
- Check your immediate neighbors;
- If necessary, turn off utilities;
- Grab your "Jump Kit" and other response items, you will need to be self-sufficient for 36 to 72 hours,
- Report to City Hall or wherever told within 60 minutes (if possible)
