PUBLIC SAFETY COMMISSION

The Public Safety Commission is responsible for evaluating the public safety needs of the community and makes recommendations to the City Council. As part of their responsibilities, the Commission monitors crime data and evaluates the level and effectiveness of law enforcement services provided by the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department. In addition, the Commission reviews the activities of the Los Angeles County Fire Department and evaluates service and equipment needs. The Commission works with the schools to promote alcohol and drug-use prevention and provides valuable direction related to the City's emergency preparedness efforts and goals.

The Public Safety Commission meets on the 4th Monday of the month at 7:00 PM in the council chambers of the La Cañada Flintridge City Hall. Written correspondence to the Commission or any member may be directed to City Hall.
