PARKS & RECREATION COMMISSION
| The Parks & Recreation Commission is responsible for advising the City Council on various matters pertaining to parks and recreation. The Commission develops immediate and long-range plans for the recreational needs of the community keeping in mind the wide-range of recreational interests, the limited extent of recreational facilities in the City and the need to acquire additional, affordable recreational facilities in the future. |

The Commission annually coordinates the Music-in-the-Park concert series. In addition, the Commission works with local schools, private and non-profit service providers to ensure that existing recreational services and facilities are made available and are coordinated in order to maximize their use.
Meetings
The Parks & Recreation Commission meets on the 2nd Wednesday of the month at 6:00PM in the council chambers of the La Cañada Flintridge City Hall. Written correspondence to the Commission or any member may be directed to City Hall.
